pro-bakers, i have an idea for a strawberry cake, but i need help with it.?
can i place frozen strawberries in a pan, and cover with cake batter and bake? and i hope when done, i’ll turn it over and it’ll be a lovely gooey strawberry cake…
oh and i know how to make cake batter, it’s just adding in strawberries that i need a little advice on. ALSO, i’m on a super tight budget so, i will most definitely use frozen strawberries, rather than fresh ones.
this seems simple and i really want to try it, but what else do i need to know?
I would use frozen strawberries for sure and mix in sugar. If what you want a strawberry glaze look, you want to add sugar. Mostly you may want to make sure you coat your pan with some type of spray. Or if all fails, make your cake; cook down your strawberries with sugar; pour over your cake and eat it with some cool whip.Yummy!
